Zbigniew Seifert – Live Recordings 1973 and 1976 (CD, Jazzhaus)

When the jazz violinist Zbigniew Seifert (1946 1979) at the New Jazz Meeting 1973 in Baden-Baden with Dave McRea (p), Jasper van t Hof (keyb), Peter Trunk (b), Philip Caterine (gtr), John Marshall ( dr) presented dense fusion or played in a duet with trombonist Albert Mangelsdorff at the Donaueschinger Musiktage in 1976 as part of the SWF jazz session, the Pole’s extraordinary talent was abundantly clear. Only his early death prevented long-lasting world fame. The received recordings of these two memorable sessions are combined on this album.
