By the time their fourth studio album Love Over Gold was released, Dire Straits were no longer in financial trouble due to their increasing success. Supplemented by the new guitarist Hal Lindes, Mark Knopfler produced an album with only five tracks, which are all the more ambitious and with sprawling sounds. With the 14-minute opening title Telegraph Road, Knopfler creates a rousing experience that is also able to carry over long instrumental passages.
This hybrid SACD was remastered by Rob LoVerde, assisted by Shawn R. Britton. The limited edition with a consecutive serial number appears in a mini LP cover with an 8-page booklet.
