Rubinstein/Reiner/Jorda – Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini/ Falla: Nights in the Garden (LP, Analogue Productions)

Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody” is a popular and highly successful piece of piano music. And this LP contains one of the best sounding recordings of the track. Musically responsible for this is Fritz Reiner with his Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The second part includes a recording of de Falla’s “Nights in the Gardens of Spain” by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra conducted by Enrique Jorda.
