Anne Bisson – Be my Lover (2LPs, Camilio Records)

For her seventh studio album, Canadian singer-songwriter and jazz pianist Anne Bisson has once again teamed up with longtime musical partners Paul Brochu (drums) and Jean-Bertrand Carbou (bass). “Be My Lover” is not your typical collection of jazz ballads sung by a lovely female voice. Bisson knows how to put her unmistakable stamp on the well-known titles with her arrangements and combines Emerson Lake and Palmer with Vangelis, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Roy Orbison and her own compositions. Bernie Grundman did the mastering for the pressing on two 180 gram vinyl discs. Pressed at RTI in California.
