Antonio Vivaldi – Le Quattro Stagioni (2LPs, 45RPM, Audio Nautes Recordings)

The Four Seasons are probably one of the most frequently recorded classical works; and this recording from 1992 has already been released several times. Audionautes is now releasing the title in a one-step pressing as a treat for audiophile ears. The recording was made in the church of San Martino in Treviso, Italy. The musicians who can be heard are the “happy Marca” (Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca), a baroque ensemble founded in 1983. The first violin comes from the house of Guarneri and is played here by Giuliano Carmignola, who is considered one of the best violinists in Italy.
