The Bruce Katz Band may only be known to blues insiders, but a surprising number of music lovers will have heard the organists and pianists of Ronnie Earl and Mighty Sam McClain many times, and his energetic game with massive use of the bass lines has many fans. The whole band lives the blues and we hear Mighty Sam McClain as guest vocalist.
This album was recorded completely analogue, classically Live to Two Track without overdubs and recordings in separate rooms. This creates the impression of a musical community of the blues with phenomenal spatial imaging and enormous swing. The absolute tip for everyone who likes to enjoy earthy sound in their home system and for everyone who wants to know how close the home speakers of a Hammond B3 can really come.
