With their second album Communiqué, Dire Straits once again delivered relaxed rhythms and complex blues guitars. Mark Knopfler and his fellow musicians had established this sound with their debut and continued seamlessly. Even if Communiqué does not contain a hit comparable to Sultans of Swing, it is a worthy sequel.
Shawn R. Britton remastered this hybrid SACD. The limited edition with a consecutive serial number appears in a mini LP cover with an 8-page booklet.
