Guitarist and singer-songwriter Fiona Boyes is the only Australian to have ever been recognized by the Memphis Blues Foundation and nominated for 8 Blues Music Awards. She was the first woman and non-American to win the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Her international following has propelled her recordings to the top of the blues charts.
Blues in My Heart is a remastered 20th anniversary edition of their debut solo album, originally released only in Australia in 2000. It contains Fiona’s diary-like liner notes, photo memories and 16 songs. Boyes is accompanied on this album by her bandmates Karen (Kaz) Dalla Rosa (harmonica), Gina Woods (piano) and Paula Dowse (drums and percussion).
