Freddie King – Getting Ready… (LP, Analogue Productions)

Freddie King is considered one of the most influential electric blues guitarists of the “post-Chicago Southside blues sound” and has also been celebrated for his powerful stage presence. 1971’s Getting Ready is King’s first of three albums on Leon Russell’s Shelter label; the label owner also played personally in the strong backing band, which included “Blues Brother” Donald “Duck” Dunn and Don Preston.
