Freddy und die Wilden Wolfe (CD, Br-Klassik)

The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra has already performed entertaining family concerts with exciting stories to classical music in collaboration with the Munich illustrator Martin Fengel, the audio book author and presenter of the children’s program Do Re Mikro Katharina Neuschaefer and star actor Rufus Beck. From this series, Freddy and the Wild Wolves is now on CD in front of a winter fairy tale about friendship and courage, which is accompanied by the highly suggestive and atmospheric music from Albert Roussel’s Third Symphony. Star actor and accomplished audio book reader Rufus Beck stands for serious storytelling without giving up his parodic art. In the richly illustrated booklet, the adventure of moose Freddy and baby wolf can also be clearly understood visually with the illustrations by Martin Fengel. At the podium of the symphony orchestra, Stéphane Denève creates the multifaceted symphonic music of Albert Roussel.
