Audionautes presents the second of four volumes of these cult recordings from Stockholm’s Pawnshop Jazz Club, offering a top-tier listening experience. The superb quartet, led by Arne Domnerus, differs from Volume 1 in one personnel change: vibraphonist Lars Erstrand is not featured. This recording focuses on swing standards such as the great pieces “Poor Butterfly” and “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be”; a Swedish and an African folk song round out the repertoire, which has been masterfully recorded by sound engineer Gert Palmcrantz.
