Jethro Tull – Stand up (2LPs, 45RPM, Analogue Productions)

The progressive rock band Jethro Tull around Ian Anderson with its characteristic flute playing is definitely considered a cult and brings back some memories of “the good old days”. With the re-release of the second album “Stand Up” as a 180g-45 RPM double LP, Analogue Productions now offers a special audiophile treat of this classic, mastered by Kevin Gray. The new edition is sonically superior to the original from 1969 in many areas and gives great songs like “Fat Man”, “We Used To Know” or the legendary version of Bach’s “Bouree” a new stage. But the release is also visually a gem on the record shelf thanks to the “Tip-On” cover plus the band’s original pop-up display.
