With I Walk The Line in 1964, Johnny Cash cemented his reputation as the country singer of the moment. The album, released by Columbia Records, contains a mix of specially written tracks and re-recordings of various hits that Cash landed on Sun Records. Over 50 years after their release, tracks like Hey Porter, Big River and of course I Walk The Line can be heard again in original mono quality.
Shawn R. Britton remastered the album from the original analog tapes for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. The mono-hybrid SACD appears in a mini LP cover with a consecutive serial number and is limited to 2,500 copies.
