Leshnoff – Tchaikovsky: Symphony No.4, Double Concerto for Clarinet and Basson (SACD, HDCD, Reference Recordings)

This release is the tenth in the critically acclaimed “Pittsburgh Live!” Series on the FRESH! by Reference Recordings. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has been under the musical direction of the Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck since 2008. For this recording they will interpret Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony together in the usual excellent quality. A first recording of the double concerto for clarinet and bassoon by the American composer Jonathan Leshnoff can also be heard. Michael Rusinek (clarinet) and Nancy Goeres (bassoon) play as soloists. The multi-channel hybrid SACD was created in the Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh.
