THE COMPLETE MILES DAVIS COLUMBIA ALBUM COLLECTION – finally the SUPER DELUXE 70-CD box set containing all 52 Columbia albums recorded between 1949 and 1985. The remastered CDs come in mini-LP style with the original artwork, with new expanded editions of the albums ” In Paris Festival International De Jazz May, 1949″ (1949), “Quiet Nights” (1962), “At Plugged Nickel” (1965) and “We Want Miles” (1981) are included with rare or previously unreleased bonus tracks. For the first time on CD: the previously unreleased “Isle Of Wight” concert (audio) from August 29, 1970, here in full length. And for the first time on DVD: the previously unreleased concert “Miles Davis Quintet: Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams / Live In Europe ’67”, with excerpts from the concerts in Stockholm on October 31st and in Karlsruhe on October 7th. November.The box contains a valuable 250-page booklet with bio-essay by Frédéric Goaty, with dicography and album comments by Franck Bergerot, with rare photos, memorabilia and a complete song index. Incidentally, from October 16th to January 17th the exhibition “We Want Miles” is running at the Museé de la Musique in Paris.
