The new album by MOBY! Following his acclaimed album Reprise (May 2021), which featured the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Mark Lanegan, Jim James and Skylar Grey, Moby has now reinterpreted and orchestrated 15 of his most iconic New York tracks from 1994-2010 . Moby’s 20th studio album is not only a reflection on what may be the most pivotal time in his life, but also on his one-time home, New York City. That’s where he was born, that’s where his career began – in punk rock and as a DJ in underground clubs. “Before I discovered punk rock, I was at home in classic rock,” says Moby. My first concert was Yes at Madison Square Garden in 1978. So it was more than tempting to revisit my songs and see if they hold up to a more traditional, non-electronic, orchestral arrangement. Moby is joined on this album by great artists like Nicole Scherzinger, Gregory Porter, Ricky Wilson and Amythyst Kiah. The artwork of this high-quality 180g double vinyl contains a range of personal photos from Moby’s time in New York, matching the music.
