My Fair Lady (SACD, O.S.T., Sony Music)

Like the film, the original soundtrack to My Fair Lady is inevitably remembered. Instead of Julie Andrews, who starred in the Broadway and London stage productions, Audrey Hepburn slipped into the role of London flower girl Eliza Doolittle for the film adaptation, directed by George Cukor. Ironically, when it came to singing, Hepburn’s voice was dubbed by Marni Nixon. Rex Harrison reprized his stage role as Professor Henry Higgins, as did Stanley Holloway as Eliza’s flamboyant father.
