Pink Floyd – A Momentary Lapse (2LPs, Warner)

Remixed in 2019 from the original master tapes. Half-speed Master 45rpm for improved sound quality. 180g pressing. Gatefold sleeve with 28 page booklet. Based on the original 1987 master tapes used for The Later Years, Andy Jackson, with David Gilmour and assisted by Damon Iddins, set about remixing and updating the recordings. The album will be available on vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-ray and digital with stereo and 5.1 mixes. The release of The Later Years project in 2019 provided an opportunity to revisit the album A Momentary Lapse Of Reason originally released in 1987. By going back to some of Richard Wright’s original keyboard takes and re-recording the drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin were able to strike a better creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members. The remixed and updated A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album also features a new album cover featuring an alternate bed photo of Robert Dowling from the original cover shoot, which was directed by Storm Thorgerson, who died in 2013.
