Randy Travis – Storms Of Life (LP, Mobile Fidelity)

Randy Travis, then 27, made country history with 1986’s “Storms of Life.” Reissued (and numbered) by Mobile Fidelity to celebrate the record’s 35th anniversary, it boasts great clarity and warmth. The quadruple platinum album launched Travis into a great career and earned him a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. The casual mixture of honky tonk, country, western with Travis pleasantly full voice is a deep, atmospheric listening pleasure.
