Robinson the Journey – Music by Jesper Kyd (LP, Black Screen Records)

At the end of November, Black Screen Records will release the soundtrack for Crytek’s latest VR game Robinson: The Journey, by BAFTA winner and Billboard / MTV VMA Award nominated composer Jesper Kyd (Assassin’s Creed, Borderlands, Hitman, State of Decay, Darksiders 2) on audiophile 180g vinyl. The soundtrack is now available digitally everywhere. Jesper Kyd’s unforgettable, cinematic and electronic soundtrack appears on limited white and classic black 180g vinyl and comes in a beautiful sleeve with official artwork by Crytek, a shiny metallic inner sleeve in Robo look and an additional layout by Dane Baudoin (Earthworm Jim, Another World ). The vinyl version also contains a previously unreleased track and a download code for the digital soundtrack. Jesper Kyd is responsible for the iconic soundtracks of the first four Assassin’s Creed games, the soundtracks of the Borderlands series, the Hitman series, the State of Decay series and Darksiders 2, as well as countless other titles. Regarding Robinson: The Journey Soundtrack, Kyd says: We tried to bring the jungle to life by using analog and acoustic instruments as elements of the forest and the creatures that inhabit it. The instrumentation of the soundtrack sounds more minimal than I’m used to, but it fits perfectly with the VR experience.
