This 1976 album by the mature saxophonist Stan Getz is a reunion with Joao Gilberto, the great Brazilian guitarist and singer, and the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim (or Tom Jobim), based on the elegant and unassuming arrangements of Oscar Carlos Neves. The Getz / Gilberto / Jobim trio changed the music world in the early ’60s with the Getz/Gilberto albums, and Neves did almost the same thing. However, this LP didn’t get the attention it deserved.
