Eye in the Sky is the sixth studio album by The Alan Parsons Project and arguably the most commercially successful by the prog rock band. The opening instrumental, Sirius, is one of the most well-known in the sport—the fanfare is inextricably linked to announcing Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls at matches. The title song that followed seamlessly became a chart success and can still be heard on all radio stations today.
With its great depth, concert hall-level separation and realistic depiction, Eye in the Sky perfectly illustrates the importance of perfectionism in the work of sound and recording engineers.
