For the first time, The Beatles (White Album) has been mixed and comes with an additional CD of demo recordings. Giles Martin and Sam Okell worked with an expert team of engineers and audio restorers at Abbey Road Studios in London to create the stereo audio mixes for The White Album. This 3CD White Album release features Martin’s stereo album mix taken straight from the original 4-track and 8-track session tapes. Martin’s mix is inspired by the album’s original stereo mix, produced by his father, George Martin.
During the last week of May 1968, The Beatles gathered at George’s house in Esher, Surrey, where they recorded acoustic demos (Beatles Unplugged) for 27 album songs. All of these 27 recordings, known as Esher Demos, are included in the 3CD deluxe box, taken from the original four-track tapes.
The 3CD Deluxe Set is limited and comes in an embossed digipak with fold-out poster and portrait photos and a 24-page booklet.
