The Doors – Strange Days (Hybrid-Multikanal-SACD, Analogue Productions)

Scary. beguiling. With these words critics described the melodic-psychedelic sound of the Doors. Many of the songs collected on Strange Days were written around the same time as the tracks for the band’s debut album. A mixture of oriental music, classical and pop, which produced hits like Love Me Two Times and People Are Strange. The music magazine Rolling Stone wrote about the album that it had the power and energy of the first LP, but was more subtle, complex and therefore more lasting.
