The mighty Dallas Wind Symphony Orchestra and the enthusiastic Jim Cullum Jazz Band collaborate on this spectacular recording of five tracks by composer Frank Ticheli. A lively and happy celebration of jazz, which culminates in the final recording “Playing with fire”. Ticheli became famous for his works for concert orchestras, many of which became standards of the genre. He became famous as a guest conductor at Carnegie Hall, at American universities, at music festivals at home and abroad. The Los Angeles Times describes his works as “optimistic and thoughtful”, the New York Times as “slim and muscular”.
Conducted by Jerry Junkin, the recording was made at the Meyerson Symphony Center. The world-famous reference recordings team led by sound engineer “Prof.” Keith Johnson and producer Tam Henderson is responsible for the excellent sound quality.
We recommend the use of “L’Art du Son” CD / DVD conditioner to improve the sound even more.
