Vincent Belanger & Anne Bisson: Conversations (CD)

Canadian jazz singer Anne Bisson worked with cellist Vincent Bélanger on her 2013 album Tales From The Treetops. Bélanger studied at the Conservatories in Québec, Canada and Montpellier, France; later he attended master classes with Yvan Chiffoleau and Yo-Yo Ma. The album contains compositions by Bélanger and Bisson as well as music by Sylvie Massicote, Pierre Lenoir, Fung Sou and David Chesky. The different styles range from Chinese music – sung in Mandarin -, jazz, Latin and bossa nova. High-quality cables from XLO Electric, who cooperated with the artists for the project on the occasion of their 25th anniversary, were used for the recording. Bisson plays Grand D 317 on a Steinway Concert. Jacques Roy mastered the CD at Les Studios Opus.
