Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, a pianist who created one of the most famous jazz records and the eternal bible “Misty” of audiophiles, has made a CD of the DSD recording of direct cutting recording!
Please enjoy listening to it with the direct cutting LP. Includes 2 CD-only bonus tracks.
What is direct cutting?
A method of engraving the recorded sound on a lacquer board in real time without going through the process of editing, mixing, and mastering that is performed after normal recording.
A coveted recording method for audiophiles that directly captures the sounds that were born in the studio without going through any medium until becoming a master. The tension of recording all songs in one shot and not editing further enhances the appeal of jazz, and it is also a great feature of compatibility.
* Can be played on a normal CD player (44.1kHz / 16bit). * If you use an MQA compatible device or application, PCM 176.4kHz / 24bit data will be expanded and can be played back with a high resolution sound source.
