Two and a half years after their UK number one album Velociraptor! On June 6th 2014 the British superstars Kasabian release their fifth studio album. The long player, which was produced single-handedly by guitarist and singer Sergio Pizzorno, is literally the sum of its individual parts – this is expressed in the album title, among other things, which results from the total playing time of the 13 songs (48 minutes and 13 seconds): “48:13”.
“48:13” is nevertheless unmistakably Kasabian, a fascinating distillate of their trademark-like sound. It is the result of constant development and musical experimentation from a band whose career has now spanned ten years and four albums.
In addition to the coveted headline slot at Glastonbury on June 29 and their long-sold-out homecoming show in Leicester the week before (June 21), the band will also perform at two festivals in Germany: Rock im Park and “Rock am Ring”.
