Tsuyoshi Yamamoto became resident pianist at Tokyo’s Misty jazz club in 1974, after working with Micky Curtis for many years and touring Europe. This recording of his trio with singer Koji Moriyama was made on August 23, 1975 in a sake brewery in Hida Takayama for a local jazz fan, Kazumistu Saga. Saga was a partner of the Three Blind Mice label and an enthusiastic jazz pianist himself. The tapes were long considered lost and could only be remastered by Kazuo Kiuchi for an XRCD24 in 2018 after Tee Fujii rediscovered them while cleaning up the warehouse. Bass player Akira Daiyoshi, drummer Tetsujiro Obara and Tsuyoshi Yamamoto play the piano.
We recommend the use of “L’Art du Son” CD / DVD conditioner to improve the sound even more.
